South African Recipes

Chicken mango salad
o Cooked chicken
o Woolworths French Style Mayonnaise
o Fresh mango strips
o Lettuce
o Canola/olive oil
o Mozarella cheese
o Rocket leaves
Weigh off all ingredients. Mix the canola oil and mayonnaise and mix together with all ingredients as crisp summer salad.
Bobotie
o Beef mince, cooked
o Seedless Hanepoot Raisins
o Egg, raw
o Turmeric
o Onion, raw
o Orley whip (Dessert)
o Canola/olive oil
This is an old Cape Malayan dish that is typical South African. Fry the mince and onions in the oil until cooked. Add turmeric. Mix the cooked mince and onion, raw egg, raisins and Orley whip together. Bake in oven dish at 180C until dish has set.
Alfredo pasta
o Woolworths Instant Warm Snack pasta
o Orley whip (dessert)
o Bacon
o Onion
o Green pepper
o Mushrooms
o Oil
Fry the bacon, onion, green pepper and mushrooms in oil. Mix with cooked pasta (remember to use the oil used to fry food in as well) and add Orley whip to make a creamy sauce. Spice with salt and pepper.
Asparagus quiche
o Tinned asparagus, cut into small pieces
o Mushrooms, fresh (chopped)
o Orley whip (dessert)
o Bacon (cubed)
o Egg, raw
o Butter
Fry the mushrooms and bacon in the butter. Whip Orley whip and egg together. Add all ingredients and bake at 180C until quiche has set.
Creamy olive chicken
o Olives, pitted
o Chicken, raw
o Onion, raw
o Tomato, fresh
o All Gold Pasta Pronto creamy tomato sauce
o Orley whip (dessert)
o Canola/olive oil
Fry the chicken and onion in the oil until cooked. Add the pitted olives and tomato. Simmer for a few minutes. Add the All Gold pasta sauce and Orley whip to form a creamy sauce
Biltong and fruit
o Biltong
o Orley whip
o Strawberries
Whip Orley whip until stiff. Add some Natreen Liquid (Aspartame-free) and vanilla essence. Top the strawberries with the Orley whip and eat with biltong sticks
